Jamberry Nail Wraps!*

Oh, you all know I love a good nail wrap and when I was kindly sent some from Jamberry I was over the moon!
*does the happiest dance I can muster*

Let me tell you a little bit about Jamberry!

They were created in 2010 by three sisters (Lyndsey, Christy and Keri) that wanted to bring one-of-a-kind high quality wraps to everyone. Salons can be expensive as well as time consuming so these do it yourself wraps are perfect if you want to create a unique style in minutes from the comfort of your own home.
Each set of wraps are £15. A very reasonable price considering you get at least 2 sets.
I know that in my local salons, a file and paint costs up to £10 and the designs are nowhere near as fancy as these.
There are over 300 designs to choose from. A look for every occasion.
Each one is bold, stylish and so pretty with its own unique flair.

Every style is catered for. If you want understated, every day nails you can go for a plain colour or simpler design and if prefer a sleek, sexy look it's right there.

If you're like me then you'll love nail art but just don't have the time, skill or patience to do it. That's the main reason I love these wraps. The detail is amazing. I'm wearing them as I type this and my nails are so eye catching and gorgeous.... And yes, I've been showing them to everybody.

Another thing I love is the quality. They feel so smooth and glossy. They're also incredibly durable and have a professional look to them. I have previously used wraps that are peeling just hours after application and are off the second I do any manual task but these are firmly stuck and not going anywhere!

I love the fact that even when glitter is included in the design, it is flat and can't be felt on the wrap. I hate that crusty feel of glitter so this is joyous for me. The nails remain smooth even though they're sparkly and beautifully designed. They don't feel puffy or tacky. They just feel like my nails!

To apply you'll need:

Rubbing alcohol/Nail prep wipe
Mini heater/Hairdryer
Cuticle pusher

(You can purchase everything in a handy kit from Jamberry)

The wraps need to be applied to clean, dry, healthy nails.
I recommend trimming and filing them before you start.

  1. Push cuticles back and use wipe/alcohol to clean the nails.
  2. Match the nail wrap to the nail (find the best fit)
  3. Cut the wrap in half
  4. Peel the wrap and warm the adhesive using your heater (I used my hair dryer) for 3-5 seconds
  5. When soft & flexible press the wrap onto the nail and apply pressure around the base and edges (You can use a rubber cuticle pusher to apply pressure around the base)
  6. Remove the excess by trimming with scissors. File the tip in a downward motion)
  7. Apply heat and pressure again for a few seconds until it's securely bonded to the nail
And you're done!

I manage to do my nails in 10-15 minutes. There's no drying time, no worrying about it smudging or chipping and no fuss. They're painless to apply and remove and are also non toxic. The Jamberry formula is 5-free meaning that it's carcinogen free and safe to use.
You're ready for whatever!

These wraps can last up to 2 weeks and can also be applied to your toes where they'll last up to 4 weeks.

They're easy to remove. Just use your finger nail to peel away the edges the soak them in some nail varnish remover. After 20-30 seconds take them out and peel the wrap off gently.

I am so happy with these wraps.
They're perfect and I'm already browsing their online collection and filling my basket.

Take a look on their website and you're bound to fall in love!

I mean, take a look at these Easter wraps...
*My heart is close to bursting. I can't handle the cuteness!*
