March's Tried & Tested.

Is it me or is 2017 flying by?
It's April!

I'm back again with this month's tried and tested post.

First up is a candle I have been loving.
I picked this up at my local community market and am so glad I did.
It's made by join: 'a company run by two candle obsessed sisters'. All of their candles are made in small batches at their South East London studio so they know exactly what goes into every single candle.

Unlike many candles this one's fragrance actually lasts. It fills the air and stays so strong throughout it's whole burning time. A great thing is that the candle is all natural. Made with pure essential oils, soy wax and a cotton core wick. I adore the clear glass jars and the simplistic packaging it comes in. I have just loved burning these (particularly when I'm relaxing in the bath).
Lavender is a great stress reliever and has helped me unwind at the end of the day
Pure lavender scented bliss!

If you have a minute, have a browse of their social media pages:

Something else I picked up at the market was this adorable enamel cat pin from Diglot etc.
I saw it and had to have it. It now takes pride of place on any jacket I wear.

Isn't it the cutest?!
Cat lovers rejoice, there are so many cute cat related items that you're bound to love. Of course, I went with the black and white cat as all my cats are black and white...Had to stick with the theme.
Trouble is, I looked on the website and fell in love with so many bits and bobs. In particular the 'I would rather be at home with my cats' key ring because lets face it, I would.

On a different note, a beauty product that has really impressed me this month is the SPF 20 concealer from Bare Minerals. I picked up a set of Bare Minerals products in TK Maxx for an absolute bargain and was really excited to try everything.

First of all, I was impressed with the twist and lock pot. It gives you that extra protection against spillages... No more covering your makeup bag in powder (we've all been there)
I was hesitant at first because I've never used a powder concealer so didn't really know what to do or what to expect. I was doubtful to say the least. I didn't think a powder would cover and conceal the same way a liquid product would.
I got the shade Bisque and initially I thought it would be too dark but the second I applied it I was blown away and all my doubts were a distant memory.

The shade is perfect for brightening under the eyes and covering redness. I found it really lifted my skin and just got rid of the dullness. It sits well on the skin and is easily blended with both powders and liquids. I used the Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush to apply. It picks up the powder really well and disperses it equally onto the face. I really like the softness of the brush and how smooth and easy it makes the application.
Very good purchases.

I bought the Nivea Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover from Tesco's a while ago but didn't really use it. This month my usual one ran out and I had no choice but to use this one.

This is the one you have to shake to activate. I gave it a good shake and applied some to a cotton pad and gently rubbed my eye makeup off. I rinsed the area with some water and I noticed instantly that my whole eye area was so soft! I had to repeat the process a couple of times to remove all of my eye makeup but it was very gentle and left no redness or marks. It is so gentle on the skin.
It didn't remove my mascara completely but liner and shadow was gone in a swipe or two.
It left my skin feeling so nourished and soft I thought it deserved a mention.

Have you tried anything new this month?
