Why I Love Blogging.

Today I wanted to share with you 5 reasons why I love blogging!

1. It helps you feel a little less alone.

Loneliness is something everyone will experience in their lives and finding a place to express that (and yourself) can be really hard. But then I turn on my laptop, visit my favourite bloggers sites and instantly I feel a little less alone. I am part of a community of like minded individuals who come together to share their interests, opinions, ideas and much more. If you feel that horrible pang of loneliness you can reach out and find someone you can relate to. And if you can't? Then YOU can be the creator of a blog post that is relatable and you'll be helping someone else feel a little less alone. Either way, in a world that can be incredibly isolating a blog builds a network. A network which is only a click away.

2. It opens the door for conversation.

Topics bloggers write about spark conversations and open up doors previously kept locked. Whether you write about politics, food, beauty, fashion... your posts have the power to get people talking. Hashtags and twitter talks have spawned from bloggers for the sole purpose of conversation. People are connected and that's always a good thing.

3. Discovering and sharing new talent.

There are some really talented individuals out there and I love blogging about them. Whether they're small companies just starting out or established brands that want to work with new bloggers I love being given opportunities to support things I love.  Another thing I love is discovering projects that other bloggers have created. Blogging is a great platform to share your work and reach a bigger audience. There is so much joy to be found by supporting those around you. If you see another blogger doing something cool then buy their stuff, share their posts and support them!

4. Everyone can do it.

Blogging is all inclusive. It isn't a special club. You don't need a uni degree or 10 years experience. You do not need a huge following either. None of that matters. Every single person can start a blog, share their experiences and let their voices be heard.

5. Acceptance and pride.

In my life a lot has gone wrong. It hasn't been plain sailing. I'm not your typical 21 year old and I have always heavily criticised myself about that. But blogging has taught me that there's no such thing as a typical 21 year old. We're all just doing our best in our own unique ways. Blogging helped me see that I'm doing okay. I read other bloggers posts about relationships, their struggles, their achievements, their experiences and not a single on of them is the same. Similar perhaps but never the same. No one is made to be typical, Blogging has helped me accept that being different is okay.
I have learned to take pride in myself and my achievements.
I am not a typical 21 year old. And I don't want to be.

Before I started my blog I was absolutely terrified.
I had no idea what I was doing. Let's face it, I still don't have a clue. But I quickly learnt that you don't have to have a plan. It's YOUR blog. You can write about whatever you want whenever you want. Forget schedules, adverts and promoting, real blogging is about expressing who you are, what you enjoy and what you're passionate about.

That's why I love blogging.

  1. I haven't been blogging long, but I can 100% agree with this

    1. It's good to know you've found something you enjoy!
Plus now I have a blogging buddy and I frickin' love it.

  2. Great post! I highly agree that blogging was the best decision, or one of the best, that I've ever made. Having a space to call your own, and a place for self expression is the best thing ever!

    1. Couldn't agree more. It's a wonderful thing!

  3. I love all of these, especially the one where anyone can blog. You can do it for fun, or for a business - it doesn't matter as long as you enjoy it. Thank you for sharing!

    1. If you manage to make a business out of your passion then that's a wonderful bonus. I love seeing people expressing themselves in blog form.

  4. Oh what a lovely post! Starting a blog was the best decision I ever made.
