My Summer Makeup Bag.

As I write this the weather is dreary and the leaves have started to fall off the trees.
I think that's a sign summer is on it's way out...

I wanted to share with you the makeup products I've been using this summer.
I have been trying to use brighter colours and experiment more so I've been using a load of different products.

Makeup Revolution 2016 Collection.

This palette contains 144 colours. Now I know I said I was trying out new looks and shades but I haven't quite managed to use all 144. I have been loving the pinks but have also used the blues (yes! The blues!) and oranges. There's also cream shadows that I adore.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum.

This has been my holy grail product throughout the summer months. It's a much lighter formula than any foundation I've used and yet gives great coverage. It's so easy to blend and settles so nicely on the skin. I cannot fault it!

Dermacol Makeup Cover.

I had seen this advertised everywhere and had also seen it featured on a few blogs and YouTube videos. At the end of July my skin broke out for the first time in years. I needed thicker coverage but didn't want a hefty price tag. I got this from Amazon for about £12.
I can't believe how amazing the coverage is. It's heavy duty stuff so you need the teeniest tiniest amount. I have used this under the healthy mix serum and the spots are completely hidden. It's 100% waterproof (and bloody hard to remove) so it doesn't slip or fade throughout the day. Once it's on, it's on. This has been a saviour this month.

Miss Sporty Insta Glow Bronzer.

I got this free when I bought 3 other Miss Sporty products quite a while ago and didn't think much of it until I rediscovered it in June. I caught a bit of colour and my foundation just completely washed me out (this was before I switched to the healthy mix serum) so I needed a good bronzer. I gave this one a go and never looked back. It's perfect for an all over glow or for defining the cheekbones. It lasts all day and settles well on foundation.

e.l.f Makeup Mist & Set.

I needed a setting spray before a concert and ordered this one from Amazon (yay for next day delivery!). This spray contains aloe, green tea, cucumber and vitamin A, C & E. I don't necessarily like the smell of it but that doesn't linger thankfully. I find this works really well and gives a nice dewy bright finish.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Quench Lip Rescue - Berry.

I have mentioned these on my blog before as I absolutely love them. They contain peppermint oil which naturally makes your lips appear fuller and plumper. The packaging is amazing and the shade is great too. If you only apply a light sheen then you get a nice purple/pink shade. The more you apply, the more 'berry' it becomes. It's so hydrating and your lips feel so nice after using it. You do have to reapply often though which us the only downside.

New Look Medium Eyebrow Pencil.

I am terrible at eyebrows. Like, I really am.
I need a product that's easy to use and this one really is. The pencil itself is so soft and creamy which makes application even easier. I've looked online and can't find it now so I'm just gonna cry about that.
I love the brush on the lid. It's so convenient and I love it.

MeMeMe Shimmer Stack - Pink Zest.

I picked this up from TK Maxx and love how pink it is. It has such a great shimmer to it so also works to highlight. I have also been using the 3rd and 4th shade down as eye shadow. So gorgeous!

Primark Pure Glow Palette.

4 wonderfully pigmented highlighters. I have been using the gold for the perfect summer glow.
I also use the white shimmer to highlight the brow bone.

essence Lash Princess Mascara.

I won't rave about this anymore than I already have because it's featured here so if you want to know more then click the other post.

Miss Gorgeous I AM NOT LIPSTICK Cosmetic Applicator.

I was lucky enough to be sent this and I absolutely love it!
The design is incredible. It's compact, sleek and as with a lipstick, you can wind it down and pop a lid on it. The lid is also mirrored for on the go application. I have been using this as a beauty blender, perfect for under eye concealer and blending in any areas where foundation gathers but after looking on the website I saw that you can use it to highlight and to contour!
This is such a versatile tool that has earned it's place in my makeup bag.

Avon Super Extend Liquid Liner.

I have had this for sooooo long and haven't really used it. I found it in my makeup bag and decided to give it a go. I find that although it is so smooth and doesn't snag on my eyelids it does start to run after a few hours. I don't think I'll be using this for much longer. It's not that great.

And perhaps a random thing: Sellotape.

To create bolder, brighter looks I have been using the Sellotape trick. It makes your eye shadow look so much cleaner and it's working for me so the Sellotape stays.

Have you been trying any new beauty products this summer?
