Bloggers Made Me Buy It: Makeup Revolution Soph x Eyeshadow Palette.

There has been a big hype around this palette and it has been all over the blogging world.
I was seeing photos of this gorgeous palette and knew I had to add it to my collection.

I bought mine for £10 from Tam Beauty before it was released in stores.
The palette is a collaboration with SophDoesNails and contains 24 eyeshadows. They're a mix of matte and shimmer shades.

The shade selection is great for every day makeup but can also be used for those glam, bold looks. It's a very versatile palette. I love that every shade has a name that actually reflects the colour. There are some really cute, whimsical names like Sparks Fly, Cloudberry and Fairy Light. I love every shade name.

I swatched each shade and they went on so smoothly. All of them were easy to remove except the three last shades which have left a mark on my arm. Needless to say the darker shades are very stubborn but that makes Nightmare -which is the matte black shade- perfect to use as a liner.

When I opened the palette my initial reaction was "ooh" but then I thought "How do I create a look with this?"... The reason being that there's a lot of different colours that I wouldn't necessarily go for and I'll be honest, I'm a little scared of bold colours. I'm not the best with makeup and always worry I may end up looking like a clown 🤡.

I am a lover of playing it safe with a bronzey kind of look so those shades are obviously my favourite but I have found myself going for the bolder shades like Mixed Berries and Danger. The shades are so pretty that you do want to try them all. I have been mixing my colours and experimenting with the shades I would normally steer away from. This palette has made me so much bolder and I'm so surprised at how well all the colours blend. You wouldn't think that green is an easy colour to match but most of the shades in this palette can be blended together to create a look. I have been having so much fun trying out new shade combinations.

The shimmer shades are absolutely amazing!  These shades do have quite a bit of fall out and I really had to tap the excess off the brush a couple of times to stop it falling down onto my cheeks but it's alright once you get used to it. My favourite and most reached for shimmer shade is Grow Old.

One thing I love about Makeup Revolution palettes is the mirror. It is the size of the palette and it just makes the palette so much better. It just makes is so much easier to use. You can put the palette down wherever you are and do your makeup without worrying about holding a mirror or propping one up somewhere. It means you can use this wherever and whenever. I love big mirrors!

I can't believe I only paid £10 for this. The palette is also cruelty free, vegan and gluten free.

All I have to say is thank you bloggers for bringing this palette to my attention. I love it!

Have you bought this palette? Which shade is your favourite?
