Candles I've Been Loving.

I may have a mild candle obsession. Okay, there's no may about it.
I burn candles at every opportunity: In the bath, while blogging, snuggling on the sofa and watching Strictly... And now Autumn is here, I don't need an excuse.

LIGHT THOSE CANDLES!

Primark excel when it comes to candles. They have an amazing range of affordable, delicately scented candles and going into their stores fills me with joy.
I recently picked up every small jar I could find (I'm stocking up, leave me alone) because they had a whole host of new fragrances.

My favourite so far has to be Spiced Dusk which is a spicy scent with citrus notes. It's a very deep scent and I love it.

My only gripe is that they're not very strong. They're nice in the bathroom or smaller rooms but are completely lost in the bigger rooms. I tend to burn a couple of them as most of the scents compliment each other. I'm not so bothered about the smell if I'm honest. For £1 I'll settle for that soft scent.

I have only just discovered that my local TK Maxx has a homeware section and of course I managed to sniff out the candles. I was in awe of this section. There are so many brands and so many bargains. I picked up this Cherrywood & Cassis candle for £6.99.

I have been burning this a lot. It has a deep woody aroma with soft berry notes. It's just a very safe, comforting and warming smell. Perfect for winter.

This sweet and spicy candle from Bomb Cosmetics is a firm favourite. I bought two of these last Christmas and kept one to burn this year. Yes, it's a little early for Christmas candles but I couldn't help it.

I love this candle and the effort that goes into the design is amazing. This one is white with little red hearts. I love the extra touches that Bomb Cosmetics add to their candles plus the name is so cute!

Though not strictly candles I couldn't post this without mentioning the wonderful wax melts from Moonlight Melts. I placed a pretty big order from here and ordered myself a variety of scents plus a burner.

I just have to say this: OH MY GOD 😍!

First of all the designs of the melts are so pretty. Some contain glitter, some petals. All so very lovely.
I cannot believe how strong and long lasting these scents are. They easily fill the room with their beautiful fragrances and that smell lingers all day.

My favourite scents are Vanilla Rumball and Butt Naked. If you're a wax melt lover then head over and place an order: you won't regret it.

What is your favourite candle brand?

  1. I haven't tried melts before but the ones from Moonlight Melts sound fab. I love candles too, my absolute favourites are The White Company's White Lavender and also Verbena. Seriously expensive tho, so only for special occasions, haha! Am very tempted by the Primark ones too now. Thank you for a great review and lovely pics. X

    1. I find that wax melts have a much stronger scent than candles. I love candles but some brands are so expensive. TK Maxx have some lovely candles at this time of year too.

Thank you for your comment x

    1. I love Yankee Candles but the large jars are so expensive. I love having a big collection of Primark ones and for £1 each you can't go wrong.

      Thanks for leaving a comment!

  4. You've really got quite the collection going there! haha
I love buying candles too (usually Yankee Candle) - anything citrus or apple scented are great. I also love linen scents and breezy/nature-y scents too.
