The Sunshine Blogger Award.

Guess who was nominated for a blogger award?

(Spoiler: It's me..obviously)

I was nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award by Natalie who runs the blog Parchment & Pencils so a big thank you to her!

As with all tags I have to list the rules so here they are:

1. Thank the blogger who nominated you for the blog post and link back to their blog.

2. Answer the 11 questions the blogger asked you.

3. Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.

4. List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or on your blog.

So lets get on with answering my questions!

1. What inspired you to write?

I have many inspirations when it comes to writing. I've always had a passion for it and that really helps to keep myself inspired. In essence it was my uncle that kick started my want to share my mental health journey as I've mentioned in a previous post and that was the start of my blog. It all stemmed from there and here I am today.

2. What's your favourite blog post and why?

I don't have favourites as such but I owe a lot to my Cocowhite - Oil Pulling Reinvented post because it received the most views out of all of my posts (43,000+!). I gained so much from it including brand collaborations and more views on my blog and I'm so proud of that.
But the post I am most proud of is Questioning Mortality: One Man. 16 Lives.
I poured my heart and soul into this post and the comments I received still make me cry whenever I read them.

3. What is one random fact about yourself?

Milka Noisette chocolate is my all time favourite.

4. Do you believe in writer's block? If yes, how do you fix it?

ABSOLUTELY and it is so frustrating. I usually take a break from blogging and only come back when I feel fully motivated. There's no point pushing yourself to the brink because all of your work will be forced and that just doesn't make for great content.

5. If you could interview anyone for your blog, who would it be and why?

This is a tough one because the thought of interviewing anyone fills me with anxiety. There are a few people I'd love to have a conversation with but I don't think I'd blog about it.

6. What is the first book that made you cry?

I can't honestly remember

7. What is your writing process?

I get an idea, jot it down and when I feel like I'm fully motivated I sit down and write. Sometimes I'll brainstorm the post on paper before I start typing it out. I usually do it all in one sitting and rarely edit. I snap the pictures I need and voila.
I usually schedule the posts rather than publish straight away.

8. What is your favourite genre to read?

I read a variety of genres but I suppose the "chick lit" or romance stories are my favourite.

9. What is the one thing you HATE that authors/bloggers do?

I hate bloggers that buy followers. It's so dishonest and disheartens those that work really hard to build an honest (and active) following.

10. One book/blog you think everyone should read.

Reasons To Stay Alive by Matt Haig.

11. Do you think you'll be blogging for the rest of your life?

Honestly, no.

My turn to nominate!
(Sorry if you've already been nominated!)

(That's all I'm tagging)

And my questions for them are:

1. What are your favourite type of blog posts to write?
2. Cats or dogs?
3. If you could travel anywhere, where would it be and why?
4. Are there any bloggers that you admire?
5. What motivates you?
6. What's your favourite beauty/skincare brand?
7. What was the last book you read. Would you recommend it?
8. What was the last song you listened to?
9. What perfume/fragrance do you wear?
10. What would be your dream job?
11. Sunrise or sunset?

I look forward to reading everyone's answers!
