Primark Nudes.

Primark are the dupe masters and this time they've channelled (or ripped off depending on how you view it) Kim Kardashian West's makeup line.

Introducing the Nude collection.

The packaging, the products and the whole feel of the collection is that of the KKW beauty range but for a fraction of the price.
I picked up a few bits, some of which aren't featured here mainly because I forgot to include them in the photographs... Nice one Loubee. Good job.

The products I did feature however are the Matte 9 shadow palette, the contour palette, the eye and lip gloss sticks and the body shimmer dust.

Yes, you really did read shimmer dust. SHIMMER DUST!

Lets start with the shimmer dust actually.
If you want to feel like a you've been covered in fairy dust then this is what you need.

No but honestly this powder does blend out to give a more natural Summery sparkle which I really like. It sits on your makeup well but a little goes a long way. If you use too much then you do look like an extra from Twilight. so be careful with it.
To be fair I'd be perfectly happy to rock the 'Edward Cullen in the sun' look.

The photo does not do it justice. It's pure shimmer. It's glorious.

Considering how little you have to use the pot will last you a really long time. I apply it with a big fluffy brush as opposed to the thing that comes with it. That holds way too much product however it's great for highlighting and adding shimmer to larger parts of the body like arms etc. I love brushing a small amount onto my collarbones.

I was a little nervous when I read the words eye and gloss stick. I don't really like the idea of putting gloss on my eyes so I haven't. But I have used these on my lips and I really like them.

They are a little tacky but I expect that with a gloss. The colours are very soft and give a lovely shine. They look great over lipsticks but also stand alone to give either a nude or pink sheen.

If I want to soften some of my darker lip colours I apply the pink gloss to my lips and it just makes it less harsh and softens it completely. These are great to have in your handbag because you don't need to be precise with application and they can be used on their own for a nice soft natural look.
Still not sure I'd use them on my eyes though...

The contour palette contains 4 shades: Polar, Pure, Reveal and Expose.

Again the whole 'Nudes' collection is going for that natural vibe and this is no different. The shades are very light but buildable. The formula is incredibly soft and applies really smoothly.

Polar is a white shade which has a nice pink undertone upon application making it a lot more of a cream shade than I expected. The creaminess of the colour really does soften the highlighting shade.

Pure is a beautiful peach shimmer. I absolutely love peach tones as they match my skin much more than the brighter pinks do. This also makes a great eyeshadow.

Reveal is your contour shade. It's nice and deep and though it can be a little bold and harsh when you first apply it, it blends out easily and does give good definition.

Exposed is your blush shade. It's a lovely soft terracotta pink shade. This gives a nice healthy glow to your cheeks and I love the colour.

I definitely use Pure the most just because I also use it as an eyeshadow. It's so pretty.

Finally the eyeshadow palette. I don't own many matte shadows but after watching a few makeup tutorials the general consensus is that they're much better for hooded eyes which I have been blessed with.

So I have been giving this a go and I have to say I've found it really easy to work with. The palette is very warm and neutral which is what I normally go for. The first thing I noticed is how soft and creamy these shadows are.

Of course I was drawn to the shimmer shade... God I'm like a bloody magpie.

They're so pretty and blend really well. Some of the shades do get a little lost after blending but that's easily fixed.

Both the eyeshadow and contour palette have a magnetic close making them more secure and giving them that extra bit of protection. I do love that.

I love Primark for making makeup accessible to everyone. I know that it can be seen as them stealing other brands hard work but at the end of the day it won't stop those loyal fans from purchasing from the higher end brands. It just allows everyone to have access to similar products and shades.
Primark gives you a taste of luxury for an absolute bargain.
It also makes great practice makeup because you're not afraid of using the product. I find when I purchase the more expensive palettes I'm scared of using them. I'm a makeup novice and in order to be more confident with my makeup I need lots of practice but at the same time I don't want to waste it. When I buy a £40 palette I want to make sure I'm using it properly.
(Is that just a me thing?).

What d'you think of Primark and their beauty ranges?
