Product Empties #2.

I actually manged to save some of my empty products for one of these posts. Hooray!
I always throw them straight in the recycling and kick myself afterwards!

Lets start with my all time favourite: propolis gel from SBC. If you've read my blog before you'll know I feature it regularly. It's a wonderful formula, great for this time of year when your skin needs a pick me up. Absorbs in seconds, blends with other products and nourishes the skin so much. I've been using this in conjunction with my spf day cream from Superdrug and it blends with no issue. I take a blob of propolis alongside my cream and apply it to my face. It has been keeping my skin free from serious breakouts that I usually get when I'm applying heavier creams.

It's a 10/10 product. I cannot recommend it enough!

Will I be repurchasing? Erm, hell yeah. (Although I don't have to quite yet because I always buy two and store one away. Can't be running out now, can we!).

The box you can see is the invigorating bath fizzer from Superdrug's Spaa range. It comes with one large bath fizzer which is, at best, meh...
It's a really slow melting fizzer that just doesn't do much to the bath. If I wasn't the one who put it in there I wouldn't have even noticed a product had been used. It's just a little lacklustre.

The scent of the range is gorgeous though. A very unisex fragrance that is invigorating and uplifting... It's just lost in this fizzer.

The Vitamin E gentle oatmeal exfoliator is a good product... but not for my face. I think I mentioned in a previous blog post that I found it a little too harsh for my face as the exfoliating bits were quite big and very coarse. I didn't wanna waste the product so I used it up on my body, targeting my elbows, knees and feet. It's a lovely consistency and worked a treat on those areas. I also used it on my legs before shaving to get them super smooth.
One thing I adore is the smell. This stuff smells incredible.

Would I buy again? No. As lovely as it is, I can get a body exfoliator in a much bigger size than this.

And finally 2 products from Bilou have been finished recently: Coco Cocktail and Pink Melon. Both are the creamy shower foams and both are glorious. I did a full review of the Coco Cocktail scent a while ago so you can read more about it there. Needless to say I'll be heading out to Superdrug to replenish my stock. I really want to try the other scents too so I'm hoping they have them in stock.

Have you finished any products this month?

  1. great post! i’ve just started to see brands bring out shower foams here in the US and i’ve been dying to try one. I feel like they would dry out your skin less, do you find that to be true? sending lots of love xxx

    1. Thank you!
I definitely think that they're much less drying than gels and body washes. They leave a lovely silky smooth feeling on the skin which I love. The scent lingers too.
Hopefully they bring some out soon so you can try them for yourself!

      Thanks for reading x

  2. I haven't heard of any of these products! It's a shame about the bath fizzer and exfoliator but I suppose we can't love everything we buy! I don't think I have any product empties this month I need to start using up everything I have instead of buying new products!

    1. I rarely finish things so the product empties posts are rare. I love it when I use enough to put one together haha!

  3. How have I never used a shower foam before? These look amazing! I know what you mean about oatmeal though, I prefer an exfoliating toner, it's far gentler on my skin. Love these kind of posts, it's always interesting to see what other people use and recommend :) xx

  4. I still need to try those shower foams! It sounds like such a glorious product! I love that other people keep multiple backups of things too, I always feel crazy for having a few of something. Love that you included if you'd repurchase, that's really helpful x

    1. The packaging is so cute! And the scents are amazing too. I'm currently using a new scent which is equally as lovely as these two.

      Thanks for your comment x
